Planetary Relationships

Just like humans, planets also have relationships. We should not consider planets different from us, they are the reflection of our consciousness

There are 3 types of relationships in planets:

• Natural relationship
• Temporary relationship
• Compound relationship

Derivation of Natural relationship (Friendship / Enmity / Neutral)

Most of us remember this by heart – but please understand this using the following concept

From Mooltrikona sign of a planet – 4th ,2nd ,12, 5th , 9th and 8th sign is the sign of the friend of the said planet and the rest 3,6,7,10,11 are the signs of enemies as per Brihat Parashara hora Shastra. Consider this example for Sun and accordingly natural relationship for other planets can be deduced

Remember for Friends –count 2^nd, 4th, 8th 9^th 12^th from Leo

Remember for Enemies – count 3^rd, 6^th 7^th 10^th 11^th from Leo

4^th sign from Leo is Scorpio owned by Mars – Friend

9^th sign is Aries owned by Mars – Friend

12^th sign is Cancer owned by Moon – Friend

11^th is Gemini owned by mercury – Enemy

2^nd sign is Virgo owned by Mercury – Friend

5^th sign is Sagittarius owned by Jupiter – Friend

8^th sign is Pisces owned by Jupiter – Friend

3^rd sign is Libra owned by Venus – Enemy             

6^th sign is Aquarius owned by Saturn – Enemy

7^th Sign is Aquarius owned by Saturn – Enemy

10^th sign is Tauras owned by Venus – Enemy

Repeated planets as Friends are Friends

Repeated planets as Enemies are Enemies

One time Friend and one time Enemy are neutrals (for example mercury 2^nd & 11^th from Leo, Friend and Enemy, so neutral)

Since Moon has lordship over only on cancer – being 12^th from Leo, Moon is a natural friend of Sun

Temporary Relationship

The planets situated in 10^th, 4th, 11th 3^rd, 2nd or 12^th from one another are mutual friends and others are mutual enemies

Compound Relationship

Compound relationship are the combination of Natural and Temporary so

Friend   + Friend = Great Friends

Friend + Neutral = Friend

Neutral + Enemy = Enemy

Enemy + Enemy = Great Enemy

Enemy + Friends = Neutral

Above combination is also called 5 fold friendship. This is the basis of ascertaining planetary dignity
